Galaxy Investment Group has acquired one of the largest plots for residential development in Sofia. The plot of the former “Balkancar 6th September” is 193,000 sq.m. The acquired plot is excellent for multifunctional development. The former industrial territory will be transformed into a lively urban area, a catalyst for the balanced development of the western district of Sofia. The site located between Nikola Mushanov Blvd. and Zhitnitsa Street, on the border of Krasna Polyana and Ovcha Kupel quarters. This is one of capital’s areas with long-term perspectives and communicative location, which has not yet been rebuilt, and has fully built infrastructure. It is well connected via the main street network to the Sofia Ring Road and the main office districts of the city. Galaxy Investment Group attended the largest Real Estate Conference in Bulgaria – BalRec 2019, which was held on 7.11.2019 at Sofia Event Center. The event annually gathers leading investors, financial institutions, consultants and project managers to share current industry trends. Representatives of Galaxy Investment Group took part in three of the panels, where they discussed major topics in the field of real estate. Zhivko Ivanov, Asset Management Director, talked about the development of the hotel market and challenges for the hotels in Bulgaria in the panel “Urban and Holiday Hotels - Trends 2019”. Martin Dragoev, Director Investment and Sales, participated in discussion panel about “Office market 2019. Perspectives and growth potential of the IT/BPO industry.” The debate focused on business expansion, labour market challenges and demand for modern office space. The panel "Industrial Projects and Economics: Perspectives, Competitiveness and Challenges" was attended by Stefan Karpuzov, Investment manager at Galaxy Investment Group. The potential of industrial areas and clusters, demand and supply of modern logistics areas, as well as the customers and their requirements were discussed.  Some of the main topics during the event were the development of the retail sector, opportunities for the retail industry in the next year, trends in the residential projects development, as well as digitalization in the real estate market.

Galaxy Investment Group participated in the “Second International Conference for Industrial Property”, which was held on 16.10.2019. Representatives of state institutions, leading Bulgarian and foreign investors, analysts, and real estate consultants took part in the event. The construction of the second phase of Office Park Plovdiv has started. The investor of the project is Galaxy Investment Group – a company with solid portfolio and years of experience in the development of projects in different categories of real estate property. On the 17th of July, the official groundbreaking was done by Konstantin Boyadzhiev, CEO of Galaxy Investment Group. The second phase of Office Park Plovdiv is expected to be completed in 2020. At the moment, more than 900 people are working in the office building, whose first phase was completed in the end of 2016.
